"I managed to break my hip on my motorbike and I wanted to improve my strength, recover from that injury, and improve my bone density."

Graham broke his hip on his motorbike. At 53, that put three things in front of him at once: get his strength back, recover properly from the injury, and build the kind of bone density that would hold up for the rest of his life. Strength training was the only thing that addressed all three.
The back squat tells the story best. A movement a broken hip might have ruled out entirely has become the one where he's made his biggest gains.
The rehab has quietly outgrown its brief. There are weights he wants to hit, bone density and muscle strength he wants to keep building, and cardio he's looking to bring back alongside the strength work.
What makes it possible is clarity. VAMOS gives him a clear programme and a defined set of steps, so he never has to guess what he should be doing or whether it's safe. That's what keeps him training two to three times a week through a period when it would have been very easy to stop. The injury is what brought him in. It isn't what keeps him there.
