"I was worried about bone density. I'd had plantar fasciitis and just found I was losing my strength and mobility."

Emily started because she was worried about her bones. At 53, after plantar fasciitis and a noticeable drop in her strength and mobility, she could see the direction things were heading and wanted to intervene before the decline set in properly.
Around the time she started training, she challenged herself to get back into sailing after a twenty-year break. Getting stronger made it possible, and she now sails a 16-foot skiff with three other women, having an absolute blast doing something she'd long assumed was behind her. In her words, it's something she thought she could never do.
Her goals have moved from protecting what she had to building something new. She wants to be stronger again for the sailing, and she wants to lift over 100kg in the deadlift.
VAMOS works for Emily because it fits around her, and because the progress is visible. She books the times that suit her, and seeing the improvement written down in the numbers turns out to be a more durable kind of motivation than simply feeling better.
