Julia's journey into fitness took an unconventional path. After pursuing an early career in classical music, she moved to New Zealand in 2013 and retrained in the fitness industry. Starting as a dedicated group fitness instructor, marathon runner, and road cyclist, she was eventually drawn into strength training and competitive powerlifting. This diverse athletic background has given her a unique appreciation for different training modalities and how they complement one another.
During her years coaching people of all ages and backgrounds, Julia's desire to serve her clients better through continued learning led her to complete a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy in 2022. She spent three years working in a specialist knee clinic in Auckland, developing deep expertise in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy before moving to Sydney in 2026. This combination of hands-on coaching experience and clinical knowledge allows her to support athletes through both performance training and rehabilitation with equal confidence.
Julia's coaching approach is shaped by her understanding that strength training is for everyone, regardless of their starting point or background. She is passionate about creating programmes that are both effective and sustainable, helping athletes build the strength and resilience they need to move confidently through life.
